  Synopsis : STI Policy is not only about science, technology or innovation. Any sustainable STI policy should be more encompassing beyond the borders of these three subject matters. A good STI policy needs to have a good understanding of the importance of human values in designing, implementing and managing science and technology policy. Students will be exposed to the wide range of related issues such as, religion, culture, society, human behaviour and ethics. This course provides the avenue for students to appreciate diversity as the background to facilitate changes. Students will be exposed to teamworking and are expected to present their analyses on those issues discussed in this course. Major emphasis shall be given to the development of analytical and critical thinking skills.
